Every year, in April 25^th, Nigüelas celebrate the San Marcos´ procession. All people go out to picnic to enjoy the sunny day. There are typical products that people eat on this day, as the "hornazo" (a piece of oil bread with one (or more) cooked eggs in).

Normally people go to the Razuela Park on this day.

In the first weekend of May, Nigüelas celebrate the province meeting of traditional music. This event started in eighties.

At the time we celebrate the Traditional Music Gathering, in the church square we met all traditional products of Lecrin Valley, especially the meal products. Here you can taste the best Conchar wine, cheese of Albuñuelas, Lecrín Valley oil, Pestiños of Vélez, etc.

When the summer finish, Nigüelas mask itself in fiestas. In September, the third weekend we celebrate the popular fiestas. These fiestas begin with a cultural week, that since the preview Sunday offers a several actuation (rock, theatre, flamenco, etc) a day.

The Friday, on the noon, begin the real fiesta with a mask procession, where the most of neighbours go in groups. It is very important that you had made your own mask (we don't like the bought or rented ones).

Past this procession, four unfinished musical nights start (since Friday to Monday) that usually see the morning sun.

All actuation and attractions are placed in the little holes of the village. Cause this, the party is more intimate and more romantic.

The Monday, on the noon, we say bye to the party with the traditional entierro de la zorra (pagan fox funeral) (the males and the old problems are buried to start the new year). In this act, we carry a dissected fox for the village and the carriers invite wine to all people.
